Implementasi Model Evaluasi Formatif Program Pembangunan Sosial (EFPPS)

E-learning Theory and Practice

In E-learning Theory and Practice the authors set out different perspectives on e-learning. The book deals with the social implications of e-learning, its transformative effects, and the social and technical interplay that supports and directs e-learning. The authors present new perspectives on the subject by exploring the way teaching and learning are changing with the presence of the Internet and participatory media; providing a theoretical grounding in new learning practices from education, communication and information science; addressing e-learning in terms of existing learning theories, emerging online learning theories, new literacies, social networks, social worlds, community and virtual communities, and online resources; and emphasizing the impact of everyday electronic practices on learning, literacy and the classroom, locally and globally. This book is for everyone involved in e-learning including teachers, educators, graduate students and researchers.

The New School: Brain Based Education in Public Schools

American schools are declining while they are being coerced by failing national standards to improve. Community schools offer wide ranging support to the educational process, encouraging learning from infancy on, while brain based support helps each student maximize his or her potential, and when all tests are self tests and documenting ones education becomes the goal of education, every student can thrive and succeed. This book calls for a new kind of education that honors each student, locates the student in his or her environment, fosters natural growth and advocates for brain wise self understanding that can serve a lifetime of continuing education.

Leaders who have succeeded in the old authoritarian system will often be the
least likely to know or understand what is faulty in that system and what needs to
be done. (As someone who has worked for decades at the cutting edge of
change in psychotherapy it has never failed to amaze me how intelligent scholars
in the standard practices are invariably resistant and closed to new ideas. This
has little to do with intelligence, most likely it involves comfort with what is familiar
