Die Geschichte der Mathematik und Naturwissenschaften in der Antike (GMN) hat zum Ziel, die Ergebnisse philologischer und wissenschaftshistorischer Forschung der letzten Jahrzehnte in verstandlicher Weise zusammenzufassen und nicht nur einem spezifischen Fachpublikum nahezubringen. Geplant sind insgesamt funf Bande (Biologie, Geographie, Astronomie, Physik/Mechanik, Mathematik), in denen ausgewiesene Fachleute jeweils einen systematisch-chronologischen Uberblick uber die Entwicklung dieser Wissenschaften von ihren Anfangen bis in die Spatantike hinein vermitteln. Alle Quellentexte werden dabei in Ubersetzung geboten. Fur Detailprobleme sowie eine weiterfuhrende Lekture wird auf entsprechende Literatur verwiesen. Grey mould disease caused by Botrytis cinerea is one of the most important diseases of the grapevine. The intensive use of the chemical products to irradicate the grey mould disease resulted in environmental pollution, and appearence of the resistant varieties of the pathogen. This study of research showed the antagonism between the B.cinerea and the bacteria and yeast, and the different isolates of the genus Pythium. The selected antagonistic microbes to Botrytis cinerea, were identified using morphological as well as genetical tools and the study of their mode of action was initiated. The enzymatic activities and the elicitation capability were also studied. These activities have a direct relationship with the trigerring of the natural defence mechanisms of the grapevine. In the following context, the use of the selected micorobes as biocontrol agents can be undertaken for the effective control of Botrytis cinerea.
