One of the key components in this textbook is the development of a methodology to lay bare the structure underpinning the construction of a proof, much as diagramming a sentence lays bare its grammatical structure. Diagramming a proof is a way of presenting the relationships between the various parts of a proof. A proof diagram provides a tool for showing students how to write correct mathematical proofs.

Dalam Undang-Undang ini yang dimaksud dengan Aparatur Sipil Negara adalah profesi bagi pegawai negeri sipil dan pegawai pemerintah dengan perjanjian kerja yang bekerja pada instansi pemerintah. Aparatur sipil negara (ASN) merupakan komponen penting dalam tata laksana kegiatan pemerintahan. Sebagai salah satu komponen terpenting, profesionalisme ASN sering kali dipertanyakan. ASN sebagai unsur utama sumber daya manusia aparatur negara mempunyai peranan yang menentukan keberhasilan penyelenggaraan pemerintahan dan pembangunan. Walaupun reformasi Indonesia sudah berjalan, namun masih ada kendala lain yang harus dihadapi, antara lain: struktur organisasi yang kurang proporsional karena kelembagaan pemerintah belum sepenuhnya berprinsip pada organisasi yang efisien dan rasional, rendahnya tingkat responsibilitas di lingkungan instansi pemerintah dalam mengembankan tugas dan amanahnya, praktik KKN belum sepenuhnya teratasi, pelayanan publik belum sesuai dengan harapan masyarakat, terabaikannya nilai etika dan budaya kerja serta sistem dan prosedur kerja yang kurang efektif dan efesien di lingkungan instansi pemerintah.
