Menjadi bagian dari masyarakat sosial, tidak akan pernah memutuskan kita dari keadaan yang ada. Kondisi sosial kian menjadi hal yang utama untuk dipelajari. Karena dengan mempelejarinya, kita menjadi faham dan arif dalam bersikap. Dengan adanya buku ini, penulis mencoba memahami dalam diri penulis sendiri, dan mencoba memberikan informasi kepada msyarakat umum dalam satu fenomena dilingkungan sekitar. Kita harus sadar bahwa ada beberapa hal yang menjadi tanggung jawab sosial. Tidak hanya satu stakeholder yang harus melakukannya, tapi kita sebagai makhluk sosial. Agar kondisi masyarakat yang sejahtera bisa terwujud. Baik sejahtera secara jasmani maupun sejahtera secara ruhani. Artinya, ternyata banyak dari saudara-saudara kita yang rela melepaskan harga dirinya untuk mengais rupiah. Entah itu dengan cara mengemis atau bentuk lainnya. Kajian tentang pengemis, adalah sebuah hasil penelitian penulis ketika akan mendapatkan gelar Sarjana Psikologi. Sosok individu yang banyak kita temui dan perhatikan ini banyak membuat hati kita tergerus menjadi iba. Padahal ada dari beberapa mereka yang perlu dicermati, bahwa mereka mengemis karena ada motif tertentu. Alhasil, buku kecil ini akan mengajak kita dalam dunia kepengemisan.
