Dan, pada cetakan kedua buku yang ada di tangan pembaca ini telah diubah judulnya menjadi Perbandingan Politik Hukum Islam dan Barat. Penggantian judul buku ini dimaksudkan untuk menyesuaikan dengan substansi isi dan perkembangan isu politik hukum di Indonesia maupun di ranah global. Pada mulanya buku ini merupakan bahan ajar yang penulis sampaikan pada Program Pascasarjana Ilmu Hukum di Universitas Islam Negeri, Universitas Jayabaya Jakarta, dan kuliah umum pada program pascasarjana di beberapa perguruan tinggi/universitas.
