Islam and Others

The author observed the large number of prints that are published which have dealt with the subject of ceremony, protocols, and what they call etiquette or decency of treatment on the personal level, and diplomacy on the official level. His attention is drawn to mention these concepts with its natures that applied in the western culture, and its use scale which has expanded almost to distract us from our authentic Islamic Arabic culture that’s is suffice us away from any abhorred strange of the foreign cultures, and mixing of extremes from what’s published and reported in the media, the personal occasions, and in public meetings. In our research, our behavior must be based on the sources of nation’s thought. On top of them come Qur’an, Sunnah, and the biography of righteous ancestors from which we derive everything that would fit our lives and reform our behavior. The author aims in this book to remind that there’s in our heritage an inexhaustible wellspring in this field through lighting the way to who are fascinated with the imported custom, concepts, terminology, methods of expression, and ways of treatment to return to the right approach derived from the Book of Allah and the Sunnah of his messenger (PbUH), and all what’s emanate from and agreed with them from including decency, and forms of behavior in our dealings with each other, and in our dealings with others. A Political Autobiography of Jamil Abdullah Al-Amin

More than any other black leader, H. Rap Brown, chairman of the radical Black Power organization Student Nonviolent Coordinating Committee (SNCC), came to symbolize the ideology of black revolution. This autobiography?which was first published in 1969, went through seven printings and has long been unavailable?chronicles the making of a revolutionary. It is much more than a personal history, however; it is a call to arms, an urgent message to the black community to be the vanguard force in the struggle of oppressed people. Forthright, sardonic, and shocking, this bookais not onlyailluminating and dynamic but alsoaa vitally important document that is essential to understanding the upheavals of the late 1960s. University of Massachusetts professor Ekwueme Michael Thelwell has updated this edition, covering BrownOCOs decades of harassment by law enforcement agencies, his extraordinary transformation into an important Muslim leader, and his sensational trial."

George C. Marshall

Servant of the American Nation

As historian and biographer Mark Stoler has observed, the extraordinary career of George C. Marshall in the first half of the twentieth century paralleled the emergence of the United States as a great power. Indeed, this great servant-leader contributed substantively to virtually every important event and issue comprising that ascendance. Bringing together a who's who of Marshall scholars, this volume examines the major roles assumed by Marshall over his five-decade career - Soldier; Statesman and Peacemaker; and Leader and Manager - to illuminate key issues and themes surrounding the man and his era.
