Doa Pribadi Sukses

An American Woman in Kuwait

An American Woman in Kuwait is a travelogue written by an American lawyer who accompanied her husband, a Ph.D. immunologist, to Kuwait. The trip spanned almost six months. Stephanie C. Fox strips away the veneer of modern technology and Western influences to explore features of the nation not widely known or appreciated by the public worldwide. A major focus of her work is the degree to which the traditions and prejudices of the tribes from which Kuwaitis claim ancestry act to maintain an inferior status for women. While in Kuwait, the author lived among Kuwaitis, ate traditional foods, mingled with Kuwaitis, studied Kuwaiti history, visited most of its museums, and spent a weekend with her husband at the Wafra Farms Oasis. She was even lucky enough to meet Kuwait's most famous woman suffragist, Rola A. Al-Dashti, Ph.D. Stephanie made friends with Kuwaitis. This cost-saving version offers the book with black-and-white images.

The Emir (ruling Sheikh) whose name was Jaber, was making what was not his
first attempt to get Kuwaiti women the right to vote. Who knew whether or not it
would work, but Aiesha wanted to vote, and she said “insh'allah” they will get it.
Good for her, wanting it – and having it, The Arab Times had helpfully stated, is
not un-Islamic. In fact, the article I read went on to say voting rights for women is
in line with Sharia law – that is Islamic law. There is no excuse for the current
situation; ...

Children Defending their Human Rights Under the CRC Communications Procedure

On Strengthening the Convention on the Rights of the Child Complaints Mechanism

This book considers the Optional Protocol to the Convention on the Rights of the Child on a communication procedure as a key contributor to the realization of children’s Article 12 Convention on the Rights of the Child participation rights. Weaknesses in the current formulation of the CRC communication procedure (its first iteration since entry into force 14 April, 2014) are examined and suggestions for strengthening of the mechanism in various respects considered. Actual cases concerning children’s fundamental human rights in various domains and brought under various international human rights mechanisms are considered as hypothetical OP3-CRC communications/complaints. In addition certain domestic cases brought to the highest State Court are considered as hypothetical OP3-CRC communications brought after exhaustion of domestic remedies. In this way various significant weaknesses of the OP3-CRC are illustrated in a compelling meaningful case context and needed amendments highlighted.

Knowledge Structures for Communications in Human-Computer Systems

General Automata-Based

A comprehensive look at General automata and how it can be used to establish the fundamentals for communication in human-computer systems Drawing on author Eldo C. Koenig's extensive expertise and culling from his thirty-four previously published works, this seminal resource presents knowledge structures for communication in Human-Computer Systems (HCS) based on General automata. The resulting model provides knowledge representations for software engineering. Of the many features required for a method to achieve the desired communication in HCS, Knowledge Structures for Communications in Human-Computer Systems identifies six of them in great length-extracting and storing the knowledge of sentences; knowledge association; deductive processes; inferences; feedback; and sequencing of knowledge-along with illustrations for achieving them by the General Automata Method. After presenting the analysis for each feature, the book includes practical applications that illustrate the results. Koenig also describes algorithms and programs that achieve some of the features, and provides readers with additional algorithms and further research. Richly illustrated throughout to elucidate concepts, Knowledge Structures for Communications in Human-Computer Systems is an excellent teaching text suitable for both academic and industrial settings.
