Ülkemizde, üzerinde en fazla söz söylenen, makale ve kitap kaleme alınan kişilerden birisi şüphesiz Hacı Bektâş-ı Velî’dir. Hocaefendi, onun Makâlât adlı eserini yayınlamış, elde ettiği otantik dokümanlarla gerçek şahsiyetini ortaya çıkaracak önemli yaklaşımlar ortaya koymuştur. Bu yönüyle de bugünkü araştırıcılara hem örnek olmuş hem de kayda değer vesikalar sunmuştur. Bu kitapta bu yaklaşımlar için önemli ipuçları yer almaktadır. Hayat ileri doğru yaşanır, geriye doğru anlaşılır. Hocaefendi bu eserle milletimizin dünü, bugünü ve yarını arasında bir köprü kurmuştur.
