Langkah Kritis & Kontemporer Menulis Buku Ajar Perguruan Tinggi

Menulis diktat atau modul perkuliahan mungkin bukan hal baru bagi para intelektual kampus kita. Akan tetapi, menulis buku ajar, terutama yang berbasis penelitian, ternyata membutuhkan suatu paradigma kritis dan kontemporer sehubungan dengan upaya para intelektual kampus kita dalam membuka wawasan mahasiswanya terhadap penemuan yang berciri-ciri keindonesiaan atau penemuan yang benar-benar made in Indonesia. Buku ini dimaksudkan untuk menjawab tantangan tersebut, yakni bagaimana cara menulis buku ajar dalam paradigma kritis. Paradigma kritis yang kontemporer tersebut bertalian dengan tujuan etis di balik aktivitas menulis buku ajar, yakni agar mahasiwa kita terhindar dari praktik plagiarisme. Sebab, sudah menjadi habitus mahasiswa kita dewasa ini bahwa menulis tugas-tugas perkuliahan “harus” dilakukan dengan cara “kopas” (istilah mereka untuk copy & paste) dalam rangka mencari jalan pintas. Oleh karena itu, dibutuhkan paradigma yang kritis dan kontemporer dalam menulis buku ajar, yang dalam kaitan ini harus dimiliki para intelektual kampus kita dalam rangka menolak pemberhalaan terhadap metode dan teori Barat, yang selama ini dianggap seolah-olah benar atau seolah-olah hebat. Paradigma yang kritis dan kontemporer, yang melandasi penulisan buku ajar, juga terkait dengan fungsi buku ajar itu sendiri bagi mahasiswa, yakni dalam rangka mengenali, mengingat, dan menerapkan keilmuan yang diajarkan sang dosennya. Bertalian dengan hal itu, buku ini dapat dinilai “seirama” dengan tujuan visi Kemdikbud yang hendak membumikan teori-teori Barat menjadi termodifikasi dengan kebutuhan perkembangan ilmu pengetahuan dan teknologi bangsa Indonesia.
