Kurikulum 2013 saat ini tengah marak diperbincangan oleh sebagian besar masyarakat, terlebih bagi para pelaku pendidikan, baik itu terkait latar belakang kemunculannya, uji coba pelaksanaan di lapangan hingga pada persoalan evaluasinya. Beberapa kalangan menyambut baik terhadap kebijakan ini, namun tidak sedikit pula yang menolaknya. Pada dasarnya kurikulum 2013 ini diharapkan mampu meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan di Indonesia. Sebagai kaum terdidik, dalam menentukan kelayakan dan kepatutan terhadap kebijakan baru perlu dipelajari secara seksama, dipahami kemudian menunggu hasil dari uji coba pelaksanaan tersebut. Namun kenyataannya, banyak di antara kita lebih mengomentari terhadap kebijakan baru sebelum mengetahui dan menkajinya. Sekolah dasar sebagai sebuah institusi pendidikan yang notabennya menjadi salah satu pelaksana kurikulum 2013 diharapkan mampu melaksanakan secara baik. Selain itu, sekolah perlu memahami secara cermat terkait konsep, perencanaan, proses pembelajaran sampai tahap evaluasi. Dengan demikian, keberadaan kurikulum 2013 semakin dapat meningkatkan kompetensu guru dalam meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran
